We started Poi Dog Treats because of our dog, Chi’i.

She was a picky little girl who would turn her nose up at treat after treat. We bought so many different kinds, only to watch them go uneaten and end up in the trash.

So we decided to make our own — treats made from ingredients we could trace and trust, and something we could feel good about giving her.

Since 2015, we’ve been making dog treats by hand in Hawai‘i, one small batch at a time. We keep things simple: quality ingredients, nothing unnecessary, just sliced and dried to bring out their natural goodness.
We also handmake collars, leashes, and harnesses for dogs — all part of our passion for creating things we’re proud to put in the hands of fellow dog lovers.

What started with one picky dog became our passion and our small, husband-and-wife business.

Chi’i may no longer be with us, but her picky little taste buds are the reason Poi Dog Treats exists today.
